Why This Matters
Equity isn’t just about treating people the same. It’s about recognising differences and meeting needs so everyone has the same chance to thrive. But in many areas of life, equity and agency are missing:
Disabled people denied choices about their own care.
Marginalised groups excluded from decision-making tables.
Policies designed “for the majority,” leaving others voiceless.
Services built around control, not empowerment.
Without equity, people are left struggling to reach the same opportunities as others. Without agency, people lose control of their own lives.
